What kind of content can I put in?

In terms of presentation your can place a wide variety of content type: plain text, htlm pages, videos, images, audio files. You can use RedGrove to create tests, quizzes and surveys as well.
In terms of the content itself, as long as it does not violate laws, morale and ethic (see our Terms & Conditions for details) you can place any sort of content. Categories have been created to represent a broad range of interests.

How do I create content?

First thing first: you need to complete your profile to become an instructor and be able to create content. Here is how it works...

Then, You will be able to access RedGrove BackOffice and go ahead with creating your content.

How to insert an existing document?

If you have existing content that does not require much further presentation, you may only want to quickly put in online for users to access it.
In that case, the quickest way to distribute knowledge is to use the Single page / add document option which allows you in a few clics to upload existing documents to our server and publish it online.

How do I create a course?

If you want to offer proper courses to any users (or actual students if you are a teacher), you can use multi-part content that offers you to create courses including chapters and tests.
Your online course will be presented the way you think is more appropriate. You can divide your course in several chapters, each containing as many pages as you wish. You can test student progresses with quizzes and issue a certificate for successful students.
Once the course is published, you will be able to follow users registration and progress. Therefore you can address them appropriate advices according to their personal learning path.

Do I have to recreate my courses on RedGrove?

You do not HAVE to recreate any content. The system allows you to do so but if you are satisfied with your content, well... fine! On the other hand, if you create several content pages using a multi-part architecture, you will be able to follow each user accessing this content individually, page by page (or question by question for a test or survey).
Text edition features and the possibility to add many types of content might bring to your content some extra interest you might not have thought of before. You can for instance add pictures and include external links that will enhance your content.

What is the difference between multi-part and single page?

Single page offers you to publish a ... single page! Its main interest is to quickly make some content available, with a minimum set of settings and not much presentation. This is especially interesting when publishing existing content as is. If you would like to publish more elaborate content or rework your existing content, you may want to use multi-part content.

What type of document can I load in it?

You can place many sorts of documents on RedGrove. Word, Excel, PDF, Powerpoint, ... you upload them on our server and make a link for other users to access it.
